This is my Quilled Loon and Baby, an original artwork created by placing my rolls of paper beneath my cut out, simulating the feathers in the Loon. It is framed under glass in an 8"x10" black frame, finished piece is 10"x12". This is one of my 'Loons on Winnipesaukee' collection, any of which can be combined for a dramatic focal piece on a wall.
The Loons are everybody's favorite in New Hampshire and are protected. There are even a few coves on the Lake that are closed to boating during the spring so that the baby chicks are not disturbed.
